Derry launch new kits ahead of 2019 season

Derry have launched their new kit for the 2019 season after a special launch night in the new O’Neill’s store in Derry City on Wednesday evening.

The new home jersey keeps the traditional white and red theme while the new goalkeeper’s top breaks from tradition with a mint green colour unveiled.

It is expected that the away strip will follow the traditional alternate colours of red and white.

Four players were on hand to launch the new gear with u’20 stopper, Oran Hartin, hurler Alan Grant, Brendan Rogers and goalkeeper Thomas Mallon who has returned to the panel.

Senior manager, Damian McErlain was also in attendance and was interviewed by MC Gerry Donnelly, keeping his cards very close to his chest ahead of the 2019 season.

Derry like the rest of the province will officially get their 2019 campaign underway with the Dr McKenna Cup with the first round games scheduled for Sunday December 30th.

The draw for the Dr McKenna Cup will take place next Wednesday night, December 5th.
