Crozier and McMahon take reins at Galbally

TYRONE club Galbally have appointed Paddy Crozier alongside Tyrone legend Joe McMahon as their management team for the 2022 season.

It’s a high-profile appointment from the Pearses, who have gone from strength-to-strength in recent seasons before suffering a disappointing 2021, where they found themselves relegated from the top flight.

Paddy Crozier managed his native Derry between 2006 and 2008, but he has experience of managing outside the county and led Omagh St Enda’s to the Tyrone Senior Championship title in 2017.

Joe McMahon was part of the Omagh squad that year, and needs no introduction. A legendary player with Tyrone, he was part of the coaching set-up which led the Red Hands to their fourth ever All-Ireland championship last season.

They replace John Moylan, who had a great stint in charge of the Pearses, leading the club to the Intermediate title in 2019. Galbally subsquently reached the Ulster final where they were defeated by a fine Magheracloone (Monaghan) side.
