Strong Ulster representation in Champions 15 Team of the Year

SEVEN Ulster hurlers have been named in the annual GAA/GPA Champion 15 team of the Year, while Fermanagh’s Séan Corrigan has been selected as the Lory Meagher Player of the Year award.

The team is comprised of the very best hurlers who competed in this year’s Christy Ring, Nickey Rackard and Lory Meagher Cup competitions.

Fermanagh duo Rory Porteous and Séan Corrigan played key parts in their run to Lory Meagher glory, while Damian Casey was selected after starring performances for Tyrone, who reached the Nickey Rackard final.

Derry’s Cormac O’Doherty and Sean Cassidy were in great form for their county this season and have made the grade, while Armagh’s Simon Doherty and Cavan’s Enda Shalvey are also honoured.
