Setanta won their third senior hurling championship title in four  years. St Eunan’s have lost all three finals to Setanta, but they are a team who are coming and based on their performances this year it looks like they are going to cause Setanta plenty of problems in years to come. This year’s star performers in the championship were:

DAVIN FLYNN: (SETANTA)

Flynn had a star performance in the county final, when he hit 0-7 as Setanta saw off St Eunan’s.

MICHAEL DONOGHUE (SETANTA)

Was strong in the tackle, clever in his distribution and his work rate was excellent throughout what was a difficult championship season.

SEAN MCVEIGH (ST EUNAN’S)

McVeigh is such a crucial player for St Eunan’s. He picked up Danny Cullen in the county final and did another fine job. He was on the wrong side of the result but he is respected as a fantastic talent.
