All-Star nominations: Emyvale and Donaghmoyne players make shortlist

DONAGHMOYNE do what Donaghmoyne always seem to do as they eased to the county title, but Emyvale have at least shown progression in recent times – and they had some star showings.

NICOLA FAHY (EMAYVALE)
The McNallys and the McAnespies, as per usual, were excellent in 2020 but Fahy just gets the nod due to her brilliant consistency. Was overseas for a few seasons and her club badly missed her, but was backing running hard and making things happen as Emyvale made it to the county final.

CORA COURTNEY (DONAGHMOYNE)
It seems like every season Cora Courtney finds herself on the Gaelic Life All-Star shortlist and in 2020 she was once again impossible to stop as Donaghmoyne added another county title to their haul. An absolute nightmare to play against, Courtney is the very definition of all-action – and she showed that for Monaghan too.

SHARON COURTNEY (DONAGHMOYNE)
The Courtney family have had an immeasurable impact on Monaghan football, both at county and club level. Sharon has been one of Donaghmoyne’s big players for a long time now, but those standards never seem to drop. Another excellent campaign in 2020 as the team came out on top once again.
