All-Stars nominees: Clarkes heroes and Trillick sharpshooter

COUNTY Champions Dungannon Clarkes have two nominees for the Tyrone men’s All-Star award and there’s also a talented Trillick player.

PAUL DONAGHY (DUNGANNON)

No big surprise to see this man featured. Dungannon’s full-forward Paul Donaghy was the top scorer in the Tyrone Senior Football Championship, but special mention has to go to his tour de force against Ardboe in a hotly contested quarter-final. Has been called into the Tyrone set-up on the back of his brilliant performances.

MARK MCKEARNEY (DUNGANNON)

Like Donaghy, McKearney has been called into the Tyrone senior set-up after starring in Dungannon’s run to the O’Neill Cup. McKearney was probably their best performer in the final against Trillick, never losing his composure even in the most nerve-racking moments. He’s a brilliant link-player and his spacial awareness is off the charts.

LEE BRENNAN (TRILLICK)

Brennan has been one of the most gifted forwards in Tyrone football for years even though he’s still comparatively young. He enjoyed an excellent championship campaign. Some of his points against Killyclogher in the quarter-final from distance were incredible, while he also scored a superb goal in the final against Dungannon Clarkes. Has returned to the Tyrone set-up.
