Club Volunteer of the Year

Francie McQuade of Moy won our inaugural Club Volunteer of the Year award

Last year saw the introduction of a special new category at our Gaelic Life Club All-Stars – the Club Volunteer of the Year award.

The club volunteer is the bedrock of the association, and there are devoted club people right across the length and breadth of the country who dedicate an immense amount of time, often behind the scenes, to the maintenance and growth of their beloved clubs.

Last year’s award was presented on our annual Gala night to Francie McQuade from the Moy club in Tyrone, who has been at the coalface of club life for decades.

The second recipient will be announced at our upcoming awards, which is set to take place on Friday, March 13 at the Hillgrove Hotel in Monaghan.

We are on the look-out for potential winners of the prestigious award, and we are asking you to send in your suggestions to editor@gaeliclife.com and we will happily consider it!

If you can also give details of why your nomination is a worthy candidate, it would be much appreciated.
