GAELIC Life hurling columnist John Martin believes that last weekend’s Ulster Senior Hurling Championship final could be the last one ever played.
Antrim easily disposed of Armagh in Owenbeg to claim their 16th consecutive title, and Martin believes that the competition may now be beyond saving.
“The six-day turnaround to the start of the Ring, Rackard and Meagher Cups ensures that full commitment from all counties was always going to be difficult and I can’t help but think that the small crowd that travelled to Owenbeg on Sunday could have witnessed the last ever Ulster final,” he said.
