TALKING TACTICS…John Martin has been impressed with Liam Dunne’s match-ups to date

JOHN Martin has parsed the effectiveness of Liam Dunne’s management as Wexford attempt to upset Waterford in their All-Ireland quarter-final on Sunday.

Writing in today’s Gaelic Life, the hurling columnist praised Dunne’s tactical approach to date.

“Dunne has shown he’s just as adept at the tactical game as McGrath and Sunday should be no different,” said Martin.

“The Wexford manager has got his match-ups right so far in this championship. He played Diarmuid O’Keefe in midfield against Offaly for example but tasked him with shackling Conor Lehane at corner back against Cork.”
