GAELIC Life columnist Kevin Cassidy has hit out at the current state of Derry football.

In a hard-hitting piece in today’s edition, the Donegal man spoke of his sadness at seeing the Oakleaf county as such a low ebb following their 11-point defeat to Tyrone last Sunday.

“Derry lacked quality but more alarmingly they lacked passion, bite and aggression. When those facets are absent, a team is in serious trouble.

“Now I’m no expert on Derry football, but if you’re telling me that this is the best that Derry footballers have to offer then that is pathetic.”
