GAELIC Life columnist Kevin Cassidy believes it’s time for Donegal fans to start getting excited after their recent spell of good form.
Writing in today’s editions, the Gaoth Dobhair man has held his hands up and admitted his surprise at just how quickly the newer players have adapted to senior inter-county football.
“Turn the clocks back a few months and I would have been the first to admit that I felt that this young, relatively inexperienced side would struggle in this division,” he said.
“In fact, I thought they would struggle for a year or two until those young guys gained enough experience and confidence to be able to compete with the top teams.”
