Antrim need to address defensive frailties: Peden

Getting his players game-time is a priority for Neal Peden ahead of Sunday’s Kehoe Cup semi-final against Kildare.

Peden admits that his side still have a lot to work on ahead of the new season and the frailties in his defence are something they have to address.

“We are looking at our structural play. We have got a lot of flair players on our team we will always get good scores, but we need to work on our structure.

“We need to get a good defensive structure in place, our defence needs to tighten up.”

Peden admits that the squad he has now will be the squad that competes in the National Hurling League for the Saffron’s in 2019.

Antrim and Kildare meet in the semi-final of the Kehoe Cup on Sunday in Abbotstown with a 2pm throw in.
