REPRESENTATIVES from Loughgiel, Moneyglass, Brídíní Óga, St John’s and Dunloy were among the big winners at last Friday’s Gaelic Life awards at the Hillgrove Hotel in Monaghan.
Dunloy legend Gregory O’Kane was inducted into the John Morrison Hall of Fame, while Moneyglass’s Maria O’Neill. Loughgiel’s Clare McKillop and Glenravel’s Maeve Mulholland also won three of the night’s biggest prizes.
Maria was named as our Ladies Footballer of the year while Clare McKillop landed the Camogie Player of the Year. Maeve Mulholland was named as Dual Player of the Year for her outstanding performances for Brídíní Óga and Con Magees in 2025. Loughgiel camogie manager Johnny Campbell, meanwhile, clinched the Camogie Manager of the Year.
Six Moneyglass players were named on the Ladies Football Team of the Year – namely Maria O’Neill, Aine Devlin, Caitlin Graffin, Niamh McIntosh, Sarah O’Neill and Cathy Carey.
Loughgiel quintet Emma McAllister, Annie Lynn, Clare McKillop, Amy Boyle Róisín McCormick made the Camogie Team of the Year alongside Brídíní Oga’s Bronagh Laverty and Jaime and Holly Woulahan. Their manager Chris Dornan received a merit award in the camogie manager category.
2025 was also a memorable season for the St John’s hurlers and Domhnall Nugent and Oisin McManus were named on our Hurling Team of the Year. Moneyglass also received a merit award in the Club of the Year Category.
