Cusack takes over at Granemore

FORMER Maghery defender Stephen Cusack has been appointed as the new Granemore manager for the upcoming season.

Cusack won two Senior Championship titles with Maghery, in 2016 and 2020, and retired from playing when his side were knocked out of the championship this season.

Cusack picked up two Club All-Star awards and was named as Club Footballer of the Year in 2017, when Maghery lost their championship crown to Armagh Harps.

Granemore will compete in Division 1A of the Armagh League next season, having retained their place by the skin of their teeth this year.

Cusack replaces the outgoing Niall McAleenan, who took Granemore to the Senior Championship final in 2022 for the first time ever, where they lost to Crossmaglen.
