Eight will became four in the Armagh SFC this weekend

ARMAGH SENIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP QUARTER FINALS

GRANEMORE V MULLAGHBAWN

Saturday, Crossmaglen, 1.30pm

BOTH sides will see this as a massive opportunity to reach the last four. Granemore are a bit more experienced at this level and the scoring power of Jason O’Neill and Ryan Rafferty could see them through.

Verdict: Granemore

BALLYMACNAB V MAGHERY

Saturday, Athletic Grounds, 6pm

TWO of the big hitters in the Senior Championship collide on Saturday in what should be a fascinating encounter. Maghery were the most impressive team in the first rounds and have won two of the last five championships.

Verdict: Maghery

KILLEAVY V CLAN NA GAEL

Sunday, Pearse Og Park, 1.45pm

CLAN na Gael are certainly a coming force but this may be a step too far. Killeavy are minus a lot of star quality through injuries, including talisman Ciaron O’Hanlon, but should still have enough to make it through

Verdict: Killeavy

DROMINTEE V CROSSMAGLEN

Sunday, Athletic Grounds, 6pm

DROMINTEE’S strength is long, early ball to the full forward line while there’s question marks over the Crossmaglen full back line. In saying that, Stephen Kernan’s men have too much quality and will get over this hurdle.

Verdict: Crossmaglen

ARMAGH JUNIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI FINALS

AN PORT MOR V LISSUMMON

Saturday, Athletic Grounds, 4pm

LISSUMMON have been building nicely this year under Seamus Loughran and have been the dark horses for the Junior Championship. With the big two on the other side of the draw, this is a huge chance to reach the decider.

Verdict: Lissummon

DERRYNOOSE V MIDDLETOWN

Sunday, Athletic Grounds, 4pm

THE best two teams in the competition meet in the semi-finals and it’s likely that the winner of this game will go on to win the championship. It’s a close one to call but Middletown may just have enough to get over the line.

Verdict: Middletown

ARMAGH JUNIOR HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI FINALS

KEADY II V KILLEAVY

Sunday, Pearse Og Park, 3.30pm

THESE sides met in the opening round of the group stages and goals from SP Gibney, Conor Shortt and Lee McParland handed Keady IIs the victory and they should secure their place in the final this weekend.

Verdict: Keady II

SEAN TREACY’S V CUCHULAINNS II

Sunday, Ballymacnab, 4.00pm

SEAN Treacy’s are the top team in the Junior Championship, although Cuchulainns IIs are the only team to have beaten them in the group stages. The Lurgan men are sure to have learned from their mistakes and should right the wrongs of that game.

Verdict: Sean Treacy’s
