DAVID Lennon has taken over Cavan side Castlerahan having spent the last two seasons in charge of his own club Latton. Before that, Lennon was involved with Monaghan side Donaghmoyne.
Castlerahan won their first ever SFC title in 2018 and defended their title in 2019. They then slipped down to the intermediate grade and gained promotion back to senior level by winning the championship in 2022.
The Cavan men failed to pick up any championship victories in 2025. They suffered four consecutive losses against Crosserlough, Mullahoran, Cavan Gaels and Arva before beating Ballinagh in a relegation semi-final playoff.
Latton reached the quarter-finals of the Monaghan SFC under Lennon’s watch last season, winning three of their four group games. Ulster champions Scotstown proved too strong in that quarter-final meeting.
