Ciaran ‘Holla’ Brady on brink of Cavan return

By Niall Gartland

CIARAN Brady is in contention to make his first appearance in a Cavan jersey since last May in their upcoming Ulster Championship clash against Antrim on May 23.

Brady, who many deemed unlucky not to win an All-Star after playing a huge part in their provincial triumph in 2020, sustained a serious ACL injury last May and has been sidelined for Cavan in the meantime.

However, he’s understood to be back to fitness though time will tell whether Graham will throw him into the fray in their championship opener.

There’s more good news for Cavan fans following last weekend’s Division Four final win over Tipperary as Graham has also indicated that stalwart Martin Reilly and Oisin Pierson are also in the mix for selection after spending time on the fitness table.

Conor Brady has also recovered from injury and came on in the second-half against Tipperary and now they turn their attentions to the potential banana skin that is their Ulster Championship opener against a rapidly improving Antrim side at Corrigan Park.
