“I don’t really enjoy marking anyone – hopefully they’re trying to mark me”

CAVAN’S Rosie Crowe McKeever looks at her opponents…

Teams played for: Cavan ladies football and camogie, Lacken ladies football and camogie club. Irish international shinty team, Ulster football and camogie teams.

What team have you enjoyed the most success against? At club level, Crosserlough as they were the best and its a good feeling beating the best at the time. With the county, Armagh are always toughest to beat so beating them this year was a good feeling.

Which player have you enjoyed marking? Eh I don’t really enjoy marking anyone – hopefully they’re trying to mark me.

Which player have you disliked marking? I wouldn’t say I dislike marking them but there’s some tough nuts like Donna English, Aisling Doonan, Shanise Fitzsimons – ah there’s a few.

Which team or opponents has been the most physical? Ulster teams tend to be most physical. St Macartan’s in the Ulster Club football quarter-final were the most physical team I’ve played.

TOUGH COOKIE…Caroline O’Hanlon is highly rated by Rosie Crowe McKeever

Which team or player that you have played against were the most skilful? Bernie Murray, Caroline O’Hanlon and Rena Buckley from Cork.

Which team or player that you have played against was the funniest on field? I better not answer this as I may offend.

What’s the most frustrating defeat you have experienced? Cavan Ladies Ulster semi-final defeat to Monaghan in Clones a few years back, we should have won that day. St Macartan’s also beat us by one point in the Ulster Championship but we got the better of them in 2020 which was a great feeling and then the Ulster Championship was pulled because of Covid.

What’s the most satisfying win you have experienced? All-Ireland Intermediate Football final 2014 and Senior Club Football final 2020 v Crosserlough. They said we were gone. The Ulster Club Camogie final in 2014 was also memorable.
