Chris Kerr looks back at his career and some of the memorable moments.

Teams played for: St Gall’s and Antrim.

Current involvement: Still playing for St Gall’s.

Which club game, that you played in, will you never forget and why?

The 2013 county final. Dad had died six months prior to the final and I saved a penalty to help us get over the line and do the seven in-a-row.

Which county game, that you played in, will you never forget and why?

Toss-up between beating Galway in Casement in 2012 and Laois in the Qualifiers in 2015.

Which county game, that you watched, will you never forget and why?

Dublin against Mayo for about four years felt like one game! Had everything you want in a game, scores, hard hits, top-level skill and drama.

What was the funniest thing you ever saw in a game?

A corner-forward going to make a run and someone pulling his shorts to his knee. No names!

What was the strangest thing you ever saw in a game?

First year on the county panel. Antrim against Derry, all the Antrim defenders being encouraged to stand with their hand over the Derry forwards’ eyes! Madness! Also, Kevin Niblock getting KO’d by a Tomas McCann free in the warm-up before the National League final against Louth in 2017.

What was the most memorable performance from a player in a game that you watched?

There’s been so many to name over the years with St Gall’s and Antrim. Sean Burke and Kevin McGourty against Meath against two 6’5” plus midfielders. Both of them were exceptional.

What was the most memorable performance from a player in a game that you played?

Niall McGinn playing for Belfast Met against Jordanstown was unplayable and maybe scored 0-9. CJ McGourty has put in some incredible performances on the big days. Michael Pollock against St. John’s in the 2013 championship, scored 3-5 from play.

What did you love about the games you played in?

All of it. Testing myself against top forwards, the chirping and slabbering and shaking hands at the end of it

What did you hate about the games you played in?

The McKenna Cup, standing in goals freezing!
