Derry Senior Football Championship Final 2018

Coleraine 1-12

Lavey 0-12

Coleraine have claimed their first Derry Senior Football Championship since 2010 with a 1-12 to 0-12 win over Lavey at Celtic Park.

Lavey were left to rue early missed chances as Coleraine struck the net in the 11th minute of the game with Barry Daly finishing soccer style into the net.

Sean McGoldrick’s men lead 1-5 to 0-2 at the break.

At half time, John Brennan introduced captain Cailean O’Boyle and he contributed a personal tally of 0-7 but the composure, discipline and poise in front of goal with Liam McGoldrick contributing 0-4 in a man of the match performance proved too much.

In the end it is the men from the port who will be celebrating with a 1-12 to 0-12 win with Cavan champions, Castleraghan awaiting in the Ulster Quarter Final.
