DERRYGONNELLY’S red-hot start to the Fermanagh Division One season looks in a good position to continue as they welcome Belnaleck on Friday evening.
The Harps have been in sensational form, winning six from six, with their latest victory coming thanks to a 2-16 to 1-15 win away to Enniskillen Gaels – Connor McGovern and Gary McKenna with their goals.
Leigh Jones is an injury doubt after being forced off early at Brewster Park.
Belnaleck, meanwhile, were on the wrong side of a four-point result, losing a high-scoring encounter in Teemore, 1-21 to 0-20.
The damage was done in the first half as they trailed 1-14 to 0-7, but they will hope that second-half showing can be a launchpad to finding a way to stopping Derrygonnelly.
Teemore – who have won five from six – are back on home soil on Friday as they welcome an Irvinestown outfit languishing in mid-table.
Belcoo’s difficult start continued with a 2-19 to 0-3 defeat to Devenish. It took 28 minutes for Peter Clarke’s side to score when Gerard McHugh raised a white flag, but they were only able to add a pair of Lawrence McKeown frees from there. They will be hoping for much better when they travel to Ederney, who sit just one position above them in the table.
Elsewhere on Friday, Erne Gaels host Kinawley and Devenish welcome Enniskillen Gaels.
