Donegal 1-13 Cork 0-17
Donegal suffered a one-point defeat at home to Cork, with the Rebels heading straight through to the quarter-finals of the All-Ireland series.
Jim McGuinness’ men seemed to have the visitors at arm’s length for most of the contest as they had their noses ahead for 63 minutes.
Conor O’Donnell nailed the only goal of the afternoon and that had the home side five-points to the good at half time, 1-7 to 0-5.
They extended that advantage to seven with Michael Murphy, Michael Langan and Oisin Gallen finding the target after the turnaround.
Two-pointers from Stephen Sherlock, Luke Fahy and Tommy Walsh put Cork in front for the very first time.
Jason McGee replied with an equalising score for the Division One league champions before Sherlock landed another from outside the arc.
Turlough Carr grabbed the final score of the game to leave one the difference in the end and Donegal will be back in action next weekend as they head into Round Three.
