JIM McGuinness will remain at the helm of Donegal’s senior footballers in 2027 after being reappointed on Monday night.
McGuinness returned to intercounty management in 2023 on an initial three-year term, with an option to extend his tenure for a fourth season.
That option has now been taken up, with the Donegal County Board confirming that McGuinness will lead the footballers for another campaign.
In a statement following Monday night’s County Committee meeting, CLG Dhún na nGall said: “Following a meeting of the County Committee, CLG Dhún na nGall confirm the appointment of Michael McCann as senior hurling manager for a two-year term and Jim McGuinness as senior football manager for a one-year term.”
