Highly rated Meath footballer completes transfer to Kingscourt Stars

KINGSCOURT Stars have been boosted by the addition of Meath senior footballer Jordan Morris.

Morris, who played for the Cavan side as a youngster and currently lives in the area, has officially transferred to Kingscourt Stars, who lost the 2020 Senior Championship final after a replay.

Morris played a key role as Meath side Nobber won the Intermediate title in 2019 but has decided to switch his allegiance to Kingscourt.

It’s a major coup for Kingscourt ahead of the new season and completes what was a fairly protracted transfer saga. He is widely regarded as Meath’s best attacking footballer.

Meanwhile, Lacken have announced the appointment of Mickey O’Connor as their new senior men’s manager.

A native of Abbeylara, O’Connor has previous experience of management in Longford and Westmeath.
