Jim McCorry departs Armagh management team

ARMAGH manager Kieran McGeeney is on the lookout for a new number two after Jim McCorry exited the management team.

The Lurgan native was unavailable for comment but it’s believed his decision is based on personal and family reasons.

McCorry, who also managed the Orchard county in the ‘90s, joined McGeeney’s backroom team in November 2017 and the county’s fortunes steadily improved since his arrival as they moved from Division Three to Division One.

It’s a blow for McGeeney who is also set to be without coach Paddy McKeever this season. Even with Kieran Donaghy’s arrival, it’s likely the Armagh boss will try and add to his team before the 2021 season begins.
