Kerry claim 34th consecutive championship win by toppling Tyrone

Five in a row All-Ireland champions, Kerry have kept on course for a sixth successive title seeing off a stern Tyrone challenge in the final quarter.

Emmet O’Shea rattled the net for ‘The Kingdom’ with twelve left to play as the Munster champions claimed an unprecedented 34th championship win in a row.

The Red Hands led 0-6 to 0-3 at the break with Mark Devlin and Daniel Fullerton on target.

O’Shea’s major in the final quarter put Kerry into a lead they would never lose as they advanced to the last four.

Colin Holmes’ men lost Michael McGleenan to a black card before Michael McCann was sent off with ten to play.
