Team news:

Inniskeen made a real statement of intent by appointing Oisin McConville as manager back in December and he will be aiming to take this exciting young team to the next level. The Grattan’s won the Monaghan Minor Championship in 2018 and it will be a case of trying to fit a few more of those players into the team. A lot of the current squad have lined out for the hurlers in recent years but it is understood that football commitments will be getting the majority of the commitment this year. Shane Woods is captain this year and Donal Meegan is vice-captain and they will be looking to their first two games to pick up much-needed points. The fact that those are derby games at home to Magheracloone and away to Donaghmyoyne only adds more spice. Game five should be interesting too, as McConville goes up against his former club and county teammate John McEntee, who is in charge of champions Clontibret.
