STARS of the Ulster Championship-winning Scotstown team were honoured on a proud night for the club in Friday evening’s Gaelic Life Club All-Stars at the Hillgrove Hotel in Monaghan.
Scotstown clinched a hugely dramatic victory over Kilcoo in last season’s Ulster Senior Championship final, marking their first provincial triumph at that lofty level in a full 36 years.
Five members of the Scotstown team were named in our Men’s Football Team of the Year – Rory Beggan, Ryan O’Toole, Kieran Hughes, Mattie Maguire and Michéal McCarville.
Goalkeeper Rory Beggan won the final award of the night – the Men’s Footballer of the Year accolade, while team boss David McCague was named as our Men’s Football Manager of the Year.
