McGarry in line for Tyrone post

STEPHEN McGarry is set to make the step up to the position of Tyrone Senior Hurling manager subject to ratification from club delegates at the next monthly meeting of the County Committe.

The Ballycastle native’s name has been put forward for approval by the County Board, and it’s expected that he will be rubberstamped as manager on a three-year contract.

McGarry served under his club colleague Michael McShane at Tyrone over the course of the last three years, a productive period which saw the Red Hands achieve promotion Division 2B and winning the Nickey Rackard Cup in 2022.

McShane made the decision to step down a few months back after Tyrone’s campaign came to an end, but there’s set to be continuity at the helm with the expected appointment of McGarry.
