THREE Ulster GAA legends are set to appear on the new series of Laochra Gael. Conor McManus (Monaghan), Neil McManus (Antrim) and Marty Clarke (Down) will all feature in the 24th season of the show.
Monaghan legend Conor McManus will reflect on his journey in the very first episode, released on January 22nd. The Clontibret clubman won two Ulster title (2013 and 2015) with the Farney County and lifted three All-Star awards as well.
Marty Clarke, currently a member of the Down management team, won an All-Ireland minor title with the county in 2005 before heading to Collingwood in Australia. He did return to the red and black as they reached the All-Ireland final in 2010 and he earned an All-Star.
Antrim hurling great Neil McManus retired from the inter-county scene at the end of 2023, but is currently holds a position in Davy Fitzgerald’s backroom team. McManus had a storied career at both club and county level.
