Pre-season running track session with London, knickers.

O’Neills

Most inspirational individual you’ve ever met?

Jack Kavanagh. Haven’t actually met him, but an amazing role model for anyone.

Where do you like to go out to celebrate?

Thirsty Goat, I can borrow Kevin Quinn’s season ticket.

What do you like to do when you are not training/playing?

Play a few holes with Niall McGinn.

Which character in any film/tv show are you most like?

Michael Scott

Which team mates (From any club/county) are the first you’d invite on a night out?

Owen Mulligan and Micko Herron. Bit of history there and a fair dig is still on the cards.

Which team mate is the worst dancer?

Ben Rice. Moves like a 40 footer.

Which team mate is the loudest in the changing room?

Kevin Quinn, gets it from his da.

What’s the funniest thing you’ve seen happen in training/during a match?

Any decision Shanty makes while umpiring.

What’s the worst excuse you’ve heard to get out of training and who did it come from?

A lad said he had pneumonia there and he missed training for two weeks but we found out he got dropped by his bird. Classic.

Biggest ego?

John Finucane MP. Was okay before he got elected but doesn’t even give me the time of day now.

Worst/best person to sit next to on the team bus?

Any of the St Enda’s lads, all they talk about is their run to Croke Park. Peter Healy the worst for it.

Worst person to share a room with on away days?

Paddy McBride tells me Tomas McCann keeps you up until four in the morning talking about Cargin and chicken ball specials so best to avoid that one.

Toughest opponent you have played against?

Patrick McBrearty or Christopher McSteen. Both class acts.

Best or worst quote you have heard from a team mate/opponent/manager?

“Football is only 60 one-minute bursts lads”.

Best manager you have played for?

Russ (Frank Fitzsimons) and Terry were a massive influence growing up with the club.

What frustrates you most about the GAA?

Game to training ratio.

What is the best thing about being part of the GAA?

The amateur ethos
