DONEGAL All-Ireland winner Eamon McGee will be part of a new-look Sligo management, headed up by joint managers Eamonn O’Hara and Dessie Sloyane.
The duo were ratified at Monday’s county committee meeting on a three-year term.
McGee comes in as coach/selector with Con O’Meara – joint manager of Connacht champions coolera/Strandhill – in as Head Coach. Sean Boyle remains as Strength and Conditioning coach.
Speaking on Off the Ball this morning, the Gaoth Dobhair man, confirmed he was approached and how he has a grá for coaching.
McGee is currently the manager of Donegal club team Buncrana and has been involved with Donegal u-20s under former county teammate Leo McLoone
On the hurling front, Tom Hennessy is the new Sligo hurling manager having served as Head Coach in 2025.
Hennessey was also goalkeeper coaching with Derry side Sleacht Néill under manager Michael McShane and steered St Eunan’s Letterkenny to the recent Donegal championship.
