Antrim SFC round one complete

By Michael McMullan

THE Antrim Senior Football Championship began last weekend with champions Cargin getting off to a winning start.

Last year’s beaten finalists Portglenone eased to a first victory with Dunloy and St Brigid’s also comfortable.

St Gall’s hit four goals for an away win at Lámh Dhearg with Ahoghill also winning on the road, coming from behind to beat Aghagallon.

League champions Creggan pulled away from All Saints who had Brendan McDonnell sent off just before half-time with the sides level.

The 16 teams are arranged in four groups of four with the top two making it to the quarter-finals.
