Armagh All-Ireland winner Justin McNulty set for Laois return

JUSTIN McNulty is expected to be  ratified as the new manager of the Laois senior football team, his second term at the helm.

The Armagh All-Ireland winning defender will be offered a three-year term with a backroom team yet to be finalised.

McNulty would replace Billy Sheehan who stepped at the end of last season following two years in charge.

“An All-Ireland winner with his county, Armagh, in 2002, Justin brings a wealth of experience to the role,” Laois GAA said.

“He has previously managed Laois, gaining promotion to Division 1 in 2011 and guiding them to an All-Ireland quarter-finals in 2012.

“Justin will work with the County Board and players’ leadership group to finalise the coaching team over the coming weeks.”

It leaves Tipperary and Waterford as the only counties to appoint a new senior football manager ahead of the 2024 season.
