CAVAN star Niamh Keenaghan has been honoured with The Croke Park Hotel/LGFA Player of the Month award for February 2026.
Cavan were crowned Lidl National League Division 3 champions in 2025 and with Niamh and her teammates in excellent form again this year, a second successive promotion could be on the cards.
Cavan secured three wins from three outings in February – with victories secured against Tipperary, Wexford and Donegal.
Niamh’s displays were exceptional in this winning run and in the games against Wexford and Donegal, she scored 1-2 in each fixture.
The Breffni County currently sit on top of the Division 2 standings with two rounds of fixtures remaining.
Cavan will take on Tyrone away from home in Round 6 on Sunday March 22nd, before finishing with a home fixture against Westmeath o a week later.
They’re currently sitting on 13 points at the head of affairs, two points clear of Donegal and three clear of Tyrone.
The top two finishers will secure promotion to the top flight – and meet in a Lidl NFL Division 2 final on Saturday April 11th.
Niamh, 24, and from the Laragh United club, was presented with her award today by Sean Reid, General Manager, The Croke Park Hotel.
