Big hitters stick with tried and trusted in Fermanagh

By Niall Gartland

THE leading contenders at the higher reaches of Fermanagh club football are staying with their sitting management teams for 2025.

Defending senior champions Erne Gaels confirmed before Christmas that Declan Bonner will remain at the helm, while Simon Bradley remains in charge of Enniskillen Gaels.

Bonner led the Belleek team to their first New York Cup in 43 years with a 1-13 to 1-9 victory over Enniskillen Gaels in early November and it emerged a week before Christmas that he would stay at the helm for 2025.

Sean Flanagan will lead the line again at Derrygonnelly, while Dominic Corrigan is set for a fourth successive season at Kinawley.

Eskra native Chris Kelly is staying at Ederney, while Daniel Kille and Tony Collins remain on board at Lisnaskea and Teemore respectively.

Elsewhere at senior level, former Cavan ladies manager Michael O’Rourke has been appointed as manager of Derrylin.

At intermediate level, former Fermanagh stalwart Shane McDermott is staying with his native Irvinestown. Enda Lyons is back in charge of Devenish while Mickey McGillen remains in place at Belcoo. Adrian Diver is set to go again with Maguiresebride, as is Donal Boyle at Brookeborough. St Patrick’s, Donagh will again be managed by Gary Maguire.
