This weekend’s Champions League final between Spurs and Liverpool in Madrid has split club mates and friend’s Aidan Rice and Anthony Fearon down the middle.
Rice, chairman of the club and an avid Liverpool supporter is in possession of the golden ticket that will gain him entry into the game.
While his opposite number, Fearon also known as ‘Barmby’ after you guessed it, Spurs legend, Nick Barnaby is travelling to the Spanish capital ticket-less.
The chairman was lucky enough to be in attendance last year as his beloved reds fell to defeat in the decider but, the experience alone was immense.
“It’s like All-Ireland final day- it’s got that feel to it, street entertainment and beer tents, food markets and music. It had everything so I suppose I’m expecting the same again.”
‘Barmby’ a reserve player with the club hasn’t had the same luck on the ticket trail but, will relish a new experience for his team.
“I’m hopeful of getting a ticket – make sure to put that in but, i’ll probably end up watching in a fan zone with thousands of other people.”
