A COMBINED 4-10 Tally from Eoin McElholm and man of the match shot Tyrone to their eighth All-Ireland title with victory (5-16 to 0-17) over Louth on Wednesday night in Armagh.
Louth were within two points midway through the second half but when they failed to take two goal chances, Tyrone replied with points at the other end to take the sting out of the game.
McElholm added two goals to kill off the Wee County before Shea McDermott added the fifth after coming in off the bench.
It’s Tyrone’s third title at this grade in four years and the third time the county has retained the u-20 championship, following on from 1991/92 and 2001/02.
It comes on the back of their recent Ulster minor title and the seniors’ opening win in the All-Ireland SFC group stages.
