Derry management return for a third season

SEAMUS Shivers and Greg McArdle will return for a third year as joint managers of the Derry senior ladies team.

They will again have Martina McCaffrey as part of their management team.

The rest of the management team is yet to finalised.

Derry had improved performances during last season’s league campaign in Division Four.

After losing to Antrim in the Ulster Junior final, the Oakleafers turned the tables on the Saffrons in the All-Ireland Junior group stages.

Derry were eventually beaten by Carlow in the All-Ireland semi-final, who then pushed Antrim all the way in the decider.

The Derry management have confirmed their third season at the helm ahead  of this weekend’s club finals.

Loup take on Lissan on Friday night in Friday’s Junior B final at Find Insurance Owenbeg (7.30om).

There are another two finals on Saturday. Glen and Lavey will lock horns in Sleacht Neill (2pm) in the intermediate final.

Last year’s beaten Junior A finalists Desertmartin take on Kilrea later in the day in Ballerin (5pm) with hopes of going one better.

Steelstown and Magherafelt will complete the weekend in Sunday’s senior final (Lavey 2pm)
