Derry team named for midweek visit of Antrim

DERRY manager Ciarán Meenagh has named his team for Wednesday’s Dr McKenna Cup visit of Antrim to Owenbeg (7.30pm)

There is a return for Gareth McKinless from injury with Jack Doherty also back in the fold.

With goalkeeper Odhrán Lynch out injured, Ryan Scullion comes in between the posts.

Newcomer to the panel Shea McGuckin his listed as sub goalkeeper after impressing in Magherafelt’s run to the Derry final.

Derry will be without QUB players Ruairi Forbes, Patrick McGurk, Conall and Dan Higgins, while Charlie Diamond was part of Ulster University’s side on Tuesday in their defeat at the hands of DCU.

Sleacht Néill duo Brendan Rogers and Shane McGuigan are not part of the squad but Ruairí Ó Mianáin has opted for the big ball and is one of a handful of players in line for their debut.

The others are Conor McAteer and Sean Young from county champions Newbridge.

Derry and Donegal shared the points for the opening game that was postponed without being refixed.
