DERRY SENIOR HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 2

GROUP B

Eoghan Rua v Banagher

Saturday, Owenbeg, 3pm

AFTER losing to Swatragh, Banagher must find winning ways if they are to make the semi-finals. Shane Farren, Callum O’Kane and Darragh Cartin should shoot them to victory over a decimated Eoghan Rua squad struggling for numbers.

Verdict: Banagher

Ballinascreen v Swatragh

Saturday, Owenbeg, 5pm

BOTH teams won their opening games. With Banagher also in the group, three into two won’t go in terms of semi-final spots. Swatragh have been progressing in recent years and are fancied to come through.

Verdict: Swatragh

GROUP A

Sleacht Néill v Kevin Lynch’s

Sunday, Owenbeg, 1pm

THE game of the weekend between the champions and the challengers. Sleacht Néill have Éanna Ó Caiside and Chrissy McKaigue back hurling again. Kevin Lynch’s are under new management but will need a big performance to create an upset.

Verdict: Sleacht Néill

Lavey v Na Magha

Sunday, Owenbeg, 2.30pm

LAVEY have been progressing at underage level but defeat to Kevin Lynch’s leaves them looking at missing the semi-finals. They’ll be fancied to win against Na Magha to keep their eyes on an outside chance.

Verdict: Lavey
