Details of the 2025 TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Football Championships 

THE stage is set for the 2025 TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Football Championships – with 33 counties aiming for six coveted spots at Croke Park for TG4 All-Ireland Finals day on Sunday August 3.

Representatives from the competing teams gathered at Croke Park today (Tuesday May 27) to officially launch the 2025 TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Football Championships, which commence next Sunday (June 1) with fixtures in the Junior and Intermediate grades.

To mark the 2025 TG4 All-Ireland Championships launch, TG4’s Peil na mBan Beo lead anchor Máire Ní Bhraonáin was joined in Athlone last week by Senior team captains Roisin Rodgers (Donegal), Kate Geraghty (Galway), Aoibhín Cleary (Meath) and Cáit Lynch, representing holders Kerry.

Intermediate contenders Ailish Considine (Clare) and Ellen Irwin (Roscommon) were also present, alongside Junior team captains Bronagh Devlin (Antrim) and Áine Breen (Louth).

The Senior Championship will commence on Saturday June 7 with three fixtures – Galway v Tipperary, Kerry v Mayo and Meath v Armagh – while Waterford will take on Dublin on Sunday June 8.

TG4’s live TV schedule for the group stages of the TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship has also been confirmed.

The Meath-Armagh clash on Saturday June 7 (3pm) will commence the live coverage, followed by the clash between Waterford and Dublin on Sunday June 8 (1.30pm).

There’s a live TV double-header pencilled in for Saturday June 14, as Kildare host Meath at 12.45pm, followed by the meeting of Cork and Kerry at 2.30pm.

And on Saturday June 21, when the group stages conclude, the live TV offerings are Tipperary v Donegal (1pm) and Mayo v Cork (3pm).

Additionally, all Senior Championship ties not shown live on TG4 linear TV will be available to view on the Spórt TG4 YouTube channel, as was the case last year.

The groupings for the All-Ireland Senior and Intermediate Championships were populated as the provincial campaigns progressed.

At Senior level, defending champions Kerry, aiming for back-to-back titles and fresh from retaining their Munster title at the weekend, are in Group 2 alongside Mayo and Cork.

Group 1 features Connacht champions and 2024 All-Ireland Finalists Galway, Donegal and Tipperary, with Ulster champions Armagh, Meath and Kildare in Group 3.

Group 4 contains Leinster champions Dublin, Waterford and Leitrim.

In the Intermediate Championship, last year’s finalists Tyrone will be hoping to go one better this time and they’re in Group 2 with Leinster champions Westmeath and Down.

Group 1 contains Roscommon, Laois and Fermanagh, with Ulster champions Cavan, Monaghan and Wicklow in Group 3.

Group 4, meanwhile, contains Clare, Offaly and Wexford.

The Junior Championship will be contested by nine counties, with 2024 runners-up Louth, Derry, Sligo, Kilkenny and Limerick in Group A, while Group B features London, Longford, Antrim and Carlow.

In the Senior and Intermediate Championships, two teams will emerge from each group to contest the quarter-finals, with the top two teams in each of the Junior groups progressing to the semi-finals.

The LGFA and TG4 have also confirmed that the 2025 TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship semi-finals are currently scheduled as a potential double-header at Glenisk O’Connor Park in Tullamore, Co. Offaly, on Saturday July 19 (5.15pm and 7.30pm).

The 2025 TG4 All-Ireland Finals will be staged as a triple-header once again at Croke Park on Sunday August 4, with the Junior Final at 11.45am, followed by the Intermediate decider at 1.45pm and the Senior Final at 4.15pm.

Peil na mBan Beo will be available to audiences globally on the TG4 Player and on the TG4 Mobile and Smart TV App.

Former Galway star Máire Ní Bhraonáin will lead TG4’s Peil na mBan Beo coverage once again for the forthcoming Championship season. The commentary team will be headed up by Brian Tyers.

They will be joined by expert panellists including former Cork TG4 All-Ireland Championship winner Rhóna Ní Bhuachalla, ex-Waterford ace Michelle Ryan, Kerry’s 2024 All-Ireland winning joint manager Declan Quill, Donegal’s Emer Gallagher, Westmeath’s Sarah Dolan and more.

TG4 have been title sponsors of the All-Ireland Ladies Football Championships since 2001 and the partnership has evolved into one of the most recognised and innovative in world sport.

In 2022, TG4 announced a five-year extension of their sponsorship of the All-Ireland Ladies Football inter-county championships, with this deal set to last until the conclusion of the 2027 season.
