Donegal name team for Ulster visit of Down

By Michael McMullan

JIM McGuinness has named his Donegal squad for Sunday’s Ulster Championship quarter-final with Down.

The game will take place at Letterkenny’s O’Donnell Park with Donegal putting their Ulster title on the line.

Shaun Patton has made a return to the panel after injury but, as expected, Gavin Mulreany retains the number one jersey.

Naomh Conaill duo Max Campbell and Shea Malone are set to make their championship debuts with Finnbarr Roarty named on the bench.

Campbell and Roarty played with the u20s in their midweek defeat to Tyrone.

Kieran Gallagher, also of Naomh Conaill, is named on the squad, having never played in the championship.

Naomh Columba’s Paul O’Hare and last year’s u-20 captain Sean Martin. of MacCumhaill’s, have also yet to play in the championship.

Oisin Gallen, Ciarán Moore and Dáire Ó Baoill are also listed in the matchday 26.

The winners will take on Armagh or Fermanagh in the semi-final
