Dowds returns as Antrim manager

By Michael McMullan

FORMER manager Elaine Dowds has been appointed as the new Antrim senior camogie manager.

She takes over from Carl McCormick and Martin Coulter who stepped down after last season.

Like new Antrim senior football manager Mark Doran, Dowds is currently with Sleacht Néill where she manages the senior camogs.

Dowds was in 2023 but wasn’t successful when she applied for the position going into the following season.

She brings a wealth of experience to the position and Antrim will be begin next season in Division 1A after their promotion last season.

The Saffrons won the league and Ulster titles before losing to Offaly in the All-Ireland series.

Derry are currently on the look-out for a new senior camogie manager after Eamonn Melaugh stepped down from his position earlier in the week after one season.
