Fermanagh drawn to face Kildare in the Tailteann Cup

By Michael McMullan

FERMANAGH have been drawn to play Kildare in Monday’s Tailteann Cup draw.

The Erne County were winners over Sligo last weekend and will head to Croke Park for the second time this season.

After dominating their game with Down in the Ulster Championship, Kieran Donnelly’s side were hit by late goals.

They lost to Carlow in the first Tailteann group game before bouncing back on a run that took them to a 0-21 to 1-16 win over Sligo on Saturday.

This weekend is another opportunity to build with proof from Meath and Down that the Tailteann Cup is a place to develop.

Semi-finals
Fermanagh v Kildare
Wicklow v Limerick
The games are fixed Sunday in Croke Park with details to follow from the CCCC.

The final is set before an All-Ireland SFC semi-final on Saturday, July 12, again in Croke Park.
