BANAGHER have appointed Eunan O’Kane as their senior football manager ahead of the 2026 season, Gaelic Life can confirm.
O’Kane, a native of Banagher, is a former Republic of Ireland international. Having also played for Leeds, Torquay and Luton, he made over 100 games with Bournemouth, including their time in the Premier League during his soccer career.
Back home O’Kane has been involved in with his club Banagher, part of their management team during Paul Bradley’s tenure.
He was also involved, alongside his father Charlie and Maxi Curran, with Moneyglass ladies on their run to the All-Ireland final.
O’Kane’s management team in Banagher will include Moneyglass man Benny Marron who steered his native club to the Antrim intermediate title last season.
Banagher man Francie McCormick will complete the management team.
On the hurling front, Clare native Brian Cummins takes over as their senior manager.
Cummins, from Corofin, lives in the county and has been ratified ahead of next season.
He will be assisted by former Derry defender Ruairi McCloskey who has called time on his playing career.
Another former Banagher player, Mickey Cartin, completes Cummins’ management team.
