THERE were some county finals decided last weekend with some teams also book their place. It’s all beginning to heat up on the club scene across Ulster

Here are the star players from last weekend’s action.

1 TOM MARTIN – Kingscourt

Penalty save from Sean McEvoy ultimately proved decisive in their semi-final win.

2 DAMIEN LEE – Teemore

Stood up to the challenge, and got forward for a score as Teemore qualified for the Fermanagh semi-final.

3 GARY MCFADDEN – Gaoth Dobhair

Excelled as Gaoth Dobhair dumped out St Michael’s.

4 Arnoldas Macidulskas – Loughmacrory

Driving influence on a landmark day for the club.

5 LAUREN MCCONVILLE – Crossmaglen

Brilliant showing in the Armagh county final, even if the Rangers lost out.

6 CIARA MCCREANOR – Bredagh

Player of the Match in the epic Down final win over neighbours Carryduff.

7 KATY HOLLY – Steelstown

Wore no.7 but operated expertly around the middle as Steelstown took the Derry crown.

8 RYAN LYONS – Erne Gaels

Dominant display as Erne Gaels eased into Fermanagh’s last four.

9 DEAGLAN SMITH – Dunloy

Set the tone for the Dunloy footballers as they beat Portglenone in the Antrim semi-final.

10 EAMON YOUNG – Newbridge

Five points as the champions’ back-to-back ambitions remain alive.

11 AIDAN MCERLAIN – Naomh Eargnait

Finished with a stunning 3-5 tally as the Moneyglass outfit reached the Antrim IFC final.

12 MAEVE MONAGHAN – Emmet Óg

A late addition to the team but a starring performance on a famous day for the Monaghan club.

13 SHEA MALONE – Naomh Conaill

Popped up with some big scores in their dramatic Donegal semi-final win.

14 – DANIEL FULLERTON – Carrickmore

His scoring surge continued as Edendork were dumped out of the Tyrone SFC.

15 ROBBIE FITZPATRICK – Gowna

Trio of points at start of second half were vital in the win over Crosserlough.
