Gaelic Life team of the week

IT was another busy week on all fronts as the league head towards a close.

Here our selection from the star players on show.

1 EVELYN BAUGH Cavan
Frustrated Tyrone with a series of interventions as the Breffni County secured Division One football.

2 TOM MURRAY Down
A stand-out performance as Down took a massive scalp against Antrim.

3 CAOLAN McCOLGAN Donegal
Nullified Mícheál Bannigan – no easy feat – and got forward well at Clones.

4 BRIAN MacINTYRE Donegal
What a performance as Donegal crushed Roscommon to secure promotion.

5 GREG McCABE Armagh
Continues to be grossly underrated. Excellent against Kerry.

6 ODHRAN DOHERTY St Patrick’s, Maghera
Simply stunning as the Derry school claimed the Paddy Buggy Cup.

7 NIALL BURNS Antrim
Operating around the middle, the late addition got three points from play against London.

8 BLAITHIN MACKIN Armagh
Early goal set the tone against Kerry in the ‘Bridge.

9 MATTIE DONNELLY Tyrone
A losing effort for Tyrone, but six from play for the Trillick man.

10 MARK MOFFETT Cavan
Scored heavily as Cavan beat their neighbours Monaghan.

11 RACHAEL TRAINOR Armagh
Helped herself to 3-4 as Armagh hammered Wicklow to continue their good form.

12 SHANE McGUIGAN Derry
Got into double figures with 0-11 against Cavan, but promotion did not follow.

13 SHEA PUCCI Down
The youngster plundered 2-1 as Down dramatically defeated Antrim on a famous day for Ronán Sheehan’s side.

14 EIMEAR SMYTH Fermanagh
Just the 2-12 tally against Clare – amazing shooting from an amazing player.

15 CHLOE MCBRIDE Monaghan
Kept the scoreboard ticking over in the big win over Wexford.
