Gaelic Life team of the week

AFTER another weekend of action, here is our latest Gaelic Life Team of the Week

1 NIALL MORGAN Tyrone

May have been on the losing side but delivered a masterclass in modern day goalkeeping.

2 BRENDAN MCCOLE Donegal

Another good showing in the books as Donegal wore Fermanagh down.

3 ELLIE GRIFFIN Derry

A brilliant display at the back as Derry claimed the Ulster Minor Camogie title at Antrim’s expense.

4 PADDY BURNS Armagh

Has made an excellent start to 2024, and continued that against Kildare.

5 PADRAIG MCGROGAN Derry

One of Derry’s most consistent players. Grabbed a great goal against Monaghan.

6 CEILUM DOHERTY   Down

Tracked Marc Jordan well and hit 1-1 at the other end.

7 Dáire Ó Baoill Donegal

2-3 from play, including a brilliant 45-metre finish. Star showing against Fermanagh.

8 GERARD SMITH Cavan

Must have covered every blade of grass at Páirc Uí Chaoimh. Got a score too.

9 CLIODHNA NÍ MHIANÁIN Derry

Really stood up in the hard-fought league win over Carlow.

10 ÉABHA SHERRY   Monaghan

Turned on the class as Monaghan fought back against Donegal.

11 PADDY LYNCH Cavan

Player of the match as Cavan gained two big points in Cork. A promotion charge is now on the cards for the Breffni County.

12 CAOIMHE GALLAGHER Fermanagh

Helped herself to a couple of goals in the facile win over Kilkenny.

13 SHANE MCGUIGAN Derry

Monaghan simply had no answer. Deadly from frees and play.

14 KELLY MALLON Armagh

Looked very sharp against Meath. Looks revitalised under Greg McGonigle.

15 OISÍN CONATY Armagh

Four first-half points from play helped take the game away from a poor Kildare outfit.
