Gaelic Life team of the week

AFTER another weekend of action, here is our latest Gaelic Life Team of the Week

1

EVELYN BAUGH  Cavan

Made a string of good saves in the hard-fought loss to Tyrone.

2 PETER MCGRANE Armagh

Got forward for his latest goal – becoming something of a trademark.

3 BRONAGH BAXTER Tyrone

Controlled the defence as Louth failed to score in their league encounter.

4 DECLAN MCCUSKER Fermanagh

Came forward for two points in the impressive win over Cavan.

5 SHANE O’DONNELL Donegal

Looking really sharp in his new role, developing into an important player.

6 MICEÁL ROONEY Down

A real bundle of energy, particularly in the first half, as Down sealed promotion back to Division Two.

7 DONNCHA GILMORE Derry

Switched on as Derry eventually turned the screw against Roscommon.

8 JENNIFER DUFFY Monaghan

Grabbed the first goal and added a point in the comfortable win over Laois.

9 LEANNE DONNELLY Armagh

Popped up with two important points in the low-scoring semi-final win over Roscommon.

10 CORMAC MUNROE   Tyrone

Turned in a big shift as the Red Hands reached a league final.

11 PADDY MCBRIDE Antrim

Really stood up in the second half when Wicklow threatened a fightback.

12 SUSANNE WHITE Donegal

A fine scoring performance made the trip to Tipp worthwhile.

13 GARVAN JONES Fermanagh

A 1-8 tally against Cavan, all but one point coming from play, but it wasn’t enough to avoid the drop.

14 LEANNE MAGUIRE Monaghan

Scored eight points, including four from play, in a big win over Laois.

15 LACHLAN MURRAY Derry

Probably Derry’s star player against Roscommon. Moves onto Croke Park with confidence.
